Los Angeles - Nicki Minaj is "excited" to star in a new scripted comedy about her life. The 32-year-old rapper, who was born in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to the U.S. as a child, says she "couldn't be more proud" after signing a deal to executive produce and appear in a new ABC Family series about growing up with her vibrant immigrant family in Queens, New York and her eventual rise to stardom.
