ABC Family has given a series commitment to a scripted comedy based on the life of music sensation Nicki Minaj. The untitled single-camera, half-hour project, which Minaj will exec produce and appear in, will focus on her life growing up in Queens with her vibrant family after immigrating from Trinidad ? as well as her personal and musical evolution that led to her eventual rise to stardom.
