Our hearts go out to Demi Lovato after the passing of her beloved grandfather.
The "Cool for the Summer" artist, whose album Confident is due out Oct. 16, posted an Instagram today in honor of her grandpa, asking her fans to keep her grandmother in their prayers during this hard time.
The pop-rocker wrote, "My heart is absolutely broken and I can't even begin to imagine a world without my Papa but I know one day we'll meet again and that's what keeps me going."
Demi of course received a rush of support from her fans, who reminded her to "stay strong" and offered their best wishes to her and her family.
