VIDEO : ABC News Apologizes for Mistakenly Promoting 'Exclusive' O.J. Simpson Tapes

ABC News apologized Friday for falsely promoting O.J. Simpson's civil trial deposition tapes as being an exclusive first look on 20/20 since they were recorded in 1996.
"We were wrongly under the impression these deposition tapes were exclusive and had not aired before at length," an ABC News spokesperson said in a statement given to the Los Angeles Times. "We learned this morning portions did air 15 years ago. We apologize for the mistake."
According to the Times, footage from the tapes aired three times on NBC prior to being shown on 20/20: 1999, 2004 and 2014.
