Saban Films has acquired North American distribution rights to MI-5, the spy thriller starring Game of Thrones star Kit Harington. The film, directed by Bharat Nalluri, is based on the BBC television series. The story centers on Harington's Will Holloway, who must team with Colin Firth's disgraced MI5 Intelligence Chief Harry Pearce to track down an escaped terrorist before an imminent attack on London. Nalluri also directed the British TV series, and series writers Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent penned the script for the big screen version. Saban will release the film in theaters in December.
