At home on Fox Andy Samberg came alive in a way few event show hosts have done before.
His juvenile comedy matured into a youthful but sincere performance during the Emmys.
He even shared his HBO Now account with those that tuned into the 67th annual award show.

But the Brooklyn Nine-Nine host fixed his sights on landing joke after joke, while glossing over any moment of awkwardness.
He quipped, "the wage gap between men and women hired for major roles in Hollywood is still an issue...Wait. I misread that. The age gap between men and women hired for major roles in Hollywood is still an issue."
Samberg punch-lined the joke, "I misread that again. It's both."
Even his opening musical number was well done and in good fun.
