Vanessa Williams has been cast in Season 7 of ?The Good Wife,? CBS announced Monday. The ?Ugly Betty? alum will have a recurring role, starting midway through the season in November.
Williams will play an extremely successful, self-made businesswoman Courtney Boalt who is potentially interested in backing Peter Florrick?s (Chris Noth) campaign for president. She also sparks a mutual attraction with Eli Gold (Alan Cumming).
Earlier this month, Williams ? who won Miss America in 1984, becoming the first black woman to win the title, though was later forced to resign ? served as the head judge for the annual competition.
