Margo Price, a fixture of the East Nashville music community, has signed with Jack White's Third Man Records to release her debut album. Titled Midwest Farmer's Daughter, the LP is slated to arrive in March 2016. Price, one of Rolling Stone Country's Artists You Need to Know, possesses a Loretta Lynn voice and the no-nonsense attitude to match ? just listen to her live performance of the kiss-off "This Town Gets Around," recorded during a Rolling Stone Country showcase last November. As such, she piqued the interest of the Third Man team and, after learning that White himself was a fan, sent him the album she recently recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis. Price tells Rolling Stone Country, "I heard through the grapevine that Jack was into what I was doing. I sent them the album I recorded in Memphis and they really liked it. They were the first people who didn't want to change the album, and didn't want to scam me for any money".
