Sex and the City fans desperately hoping for a third film should calm down.
There's no new movie in the works, Sarah Jessica Parker said on Thursday's Today, explaining that while she and Sex and the City writer-director-producer Michael Patrick King have a story in mind if they did decide to do a third movie, there's no plan to do so.
Interviewing Parker about her shoe collection, which debuted at New York Fashion Week, Matt Lauer pointed out the rumors about a third film that pop up seemingly whenever Parker does or says anything, asking "What is the final decision on this?" Parker said, "There is no decision. It is a not-often-had conversation. I know well and Michael Patrick knows well the story we might tell if we ever tell it, but the real truth, and I'm not being cagey, is we've not discussed a when."
