Two Russian comedians have pranked Sir Elton John presenting themselves as Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin has denied the president was involved.
A day after telling reporters he would speak with the Russian president on gay rights, a pair of pranksters called Elton John and held a conversation with the British singer.
Sir Elton even posted an Instagram image thanking the president for the call.
Little did he know, Vladimir Krasnov and Alexei Stoyanov were playing a joke.
The pair are known in their native Russia for pranking celebrities and politicians.
They can know add a knighted figure to their list of successful pranks.
