VIDEO : 'Twighlight' Director Catherine Hardwicke Reveals ?Miss You Already? Origins

Catherine Hardwicke has gone a long way from helming her first feature film when she was 48. She has essayed an impressively diverse range of projects over her decade-long directorial career, from ?Thirteen? to ?Twilight,? ?Lords of Dogtown,? ?A Nativity Story? and ?Red Riding Hood.? This week she?ll make her Toronto fest debut with ?Miss You Already,?. In the Morweena Banks-scripted dramedy lifelong friends are forced to deal with sudden pregnancy and a cancer diagnosis. Hardwicke says the idea for the film came in 2003, when she met the producer Christopher Simon at the London Film Festival. She said Simon loved 'Thirteen' so he reached out to her after writing the script with Morweena.
