Ellie Goulding feared she would wreck her career after turning to alcohol to cope with fame.
The singer topped the U.K. singles chart in 2013 with ?Burn,: but behind the scenes she was struggling to deal with stardom and a hectic tour schedule, and admits she sought solace in booze.
She tells Refinery29.com: ?I went through a phase of being on tour and having a really hard time and not being home, and even just struggling with having a number one song?" It was at that time, she says, that she was drinking and not herself. Now that she's no longer in that phase anymore, she realizes just how close she was to losing it all.
