It's been nearly a year since there was an update on the upcoming third film in the series, and now, Universal Pictures has confirmed that Bridget Jones's Baby will start filming Oct. 2 in the U.K. The company also confirmed that McDreamy has joined the cast. Yes, Patrick Dempsey will appear in his first role since leaving Grey's Anatomy. Dempsey is no stranger to the romantic comedy genre, of course, having previously starred in 1987's Can't Buy Me Love, 2002's Sweet Home Alabama, 2008's Man of Honor and 2010's Valentine's Day, among many other films.
