Jake Gyllenhaal's new movie 'Demolition' opened the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. The movie made a big splash, perhaps partly because director Jean-Marc Vallée is himself Canadian. But it's also due to the picture's deft way of taking the dramatic subject of a man depressed by the death of his wife, and adding a hearty dose of humor.
