VIDEO : Italian Director Paolo Sorrentino to Receive Cologne Film Prize

Paolo Sorrentino, who won an Oscar for The Great Beauty, is adding another trophy to his case.
The Italian filmmaker will receive this year's Cologne Film Prize, a lifetime achievement honor handed out by the German city. Sorrentino, currently in production on The Young Pope, his first-ever TV series, will travel to Cologne to receive the award on Oct. 1, the closing night of media confab the Cologne Conference.
Previous winners of the Cologne Film Prize, include David Lynch, Lars von Trier, Francois Ozon and the Dardenne brothers. The award comes with a $28,000 (?25,000) cash bursary.
