The Montclair Film Festival will has lined up noted nerds Stephen Colbert and J.J. Abrams for a fundraiser event this fall that will see the duo hold a public discussion on their influences and work. Set for late November, ? Stephen Colbert and J.J. Abrams: Celebrity Nerd-Off!? will take place just as the hype for Abrams? upcoming ?Star Wars: The Force Awakens? reaches it peak ahead of the film?s December 18 release. Colbert, meanwhile, will be fresh off the publicity push for ?The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,? which launches September 8. The ?nerd-off? will be the second opportunity this year for New York area fans to catch Colbert do a live interview with a ?Star Wars? filmmaker, after he emceed a public discussion with George Lucas as part of the Tribeca Film Festival in April.
