Melissa Benoist and Sam Heughan will star in romantic drama Oxford. Benoist plays a student at the titular university who falls for an arrogant teaching assistant battling terminal cancer. Once she discovers his illness, the pair become closer and begin travelling the world together. Allison Burnett (Underworld: Awakening) provided the film?s script.
Benoist has appeared in films like The Longest Ride and Whiplash but is better known for regular roles on television shows like Glee and this fall?s Supergirl. Meanwhile, Heughan plays the male lead on the hit Starz series Outlander. No anticipated release date for Oxford has been announced at this point.
