Stephen Colbert is stocking his new show on CBS with plenty of old faces from his previous job. The network disclosed Thursday in an announcement that the comedian will rely on the same production team that ran his ?Colbert Report? on Comedy Central to keep the wheels rolling on his new ?Late Show." Tom Purcell, who served as executive producer and writer at ?Colbert Report,? will continue in the same role at CBS. In addition, Meredith Bennett will serve as executive producer, expanding from her previous role as co-executive producer. Two other ?Colbert Report? staffers, Emily Lazar and Barry Julien, have been named co-executive producers: Julien will retain his duties as a writer and Lazar will head the talent department.
