Laura Linney has joined the cast of Clint Eastwood's upcoming Captain Sully biopic.
The 51-year-old actress will portray Lorraine "Lorrie" Sullenberger, wife of 26 years to real-life retired pilot Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger. Tom Hanks will star as the captain, with Aaron Eckhart as his co-pilot, Jeff Skiles.
Sullenberger became a national hero after safely landing US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River in January 2009. Linney and Eastwood previously collaborated on Absolute Power and Mystic River.
