Today is Robert Redford?s 79th birthday.
One of Hollywood?s great veteran actors, Redford is best known to comic book fans for his role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In the Marvel Studios sequel, he played the villainous Alexander Pierce, a rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. commander who secretly worked for HYDRA.
Redford?s other notable films include All The President?s Men, Out of Africa, The Sting, The Great Gatsby (1974), and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
