VIDEO : 'The Notebook' Television Adaptation in the Works at CW

More than a decade after Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling had movie audiences swooning with The Notebook, the CW announced it is working on a television adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks book. Mark Pedowitz, president of the network, told reporters Tuesday the project is in the works.
The official synopsis says "This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together." Pedowitz said the television series, if greenlit, will be a bit different from the movie.
