Meryl plays a musician called Ricki who looking to make things right with her family after giving up everything to pursue her dreams of rock and roll stardom.
Meryls daughter Mamie Gumer plays her on screen daughter. She swept her hair back and flattered her figure in a dress peplum top with a delicate pink skirt adding to the outfit.
Premiere guests included Laverne Cox and Marisa Tomei.
