Director Nancy Meyers decided to flip the idea of a traditional intern on its head and make a movie about a 70-year-old New Yorker coming out of retirement to take an internship at a hip new startup company. And what better 70-year-old New Yorker to play said intern than Robert De Niro?
The actor stars opposite Anne Hathaway, who plays the founder of the startup, in the new flick appropriately titled The Intern.
