Willem Dafoe has signed on to t What Happened to Monday alongside Glenn Close and Noomi Rapace. The sci-fi thriller is directed by Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters? Tommy Wirkola.
The sci-fi thriller takes place in the not-so-distant future ravaged by overpopulation and famine and in which a one-child policy is in global effect. Seven sisters, each named after a day of the week, take on one identity to outwit Close?s enforcer.
The film started principal photography this week at Romania's Castel Film Studios.
Additional cast includes Dutch rising star Marwan Kenzari (Autobahn), Christian Rubeck (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters) and Norwegian actor Pal Sverre Hagen (Kon-Tiki).
