Did Jon Stewart's post-Daily Show plans explicitly include a return to stand-up? According to Mediaite, the exiting Comedy Central late-night host made a rare onstage appearance at the famed Comedy Cellar in New York City on Wednesday night.
Stewart's surprise performance at the West Village hangout can be attributed to former Daily Show executive producer Rory Albanese, who now runs The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore and convinced the comedian-turned-director to share a set.
