Ed Sheeran is set to star in Kurt Sutter's new FX drama The Bastard Executioner. The Bastard Executioner is set in the early 14th century and centers around a warrior whose life is forever changed when a divine messenger beseeches him to lay down his sword and lead the life of a journeyman executioner. Ed Sheeran's role could not be more different from his sweet, romantic image. Sheeran will play "an ambitious and deadly protégé of a high-ranking church elder." The Bastard Executioner debuts this fall on FX.
