Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr and his wife, producer Susan Downey, are to develop ? through their Team Downey production company ? a politically-inspired film revolving around a series of televised presidential debates. According to Variety, Team Downey has commissioned writer Bill Dubuque to work on the script; Dubuque is credited co-writer on The Judge, a previous Team Downey production on which Downey took the lead role and won a People?s Choice award. Few details have been released of the proposed project, but Variety have reported it is a ?dramedy? and ?is set in the high-stakes backdrop of three presidential debates where millions of dollars and months of campaigning come down to 270 minutes of highly scrutinized political theatre?. There is no word on director or cast.
