Natalie Portman has lightened up in the City of Light.
Since relocating to Paris with her husband, Benjamin Millepied, and their 4-year-old son, Aleph Portman-Millepied, the Academy Award winner has readily embraced French culture.
She described Paris as magical, but said the culture puts some limitations on life. For example, she said people in paris will think you're crazy if you chase your kid around the playground playing a game.
The Black Swan actress has taken note of other cultural differences, too. Portman added that conversations at dinner have a more serious tone, with frequent debates drawing from books and philosophy. Although Portman said her French is OK, she is not advanced enough for that level of conversation linguistically and intellectually.
