Sources say that Marvel has offered the female lead in Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange to Rachel McAdams. The 36-year-old McAdams is currently starring in season two of HBO's crime series True Detective. She is best known for her roles in The Notebook, Sherlock Holmes, The Time Traveler's Wife and Wedding Crashers. No details were provided as to which character McAdams would be playing, but fans would assume the character Clea is a strong possibility.
