According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX?s Donald Glover pilot 'Atlanta' has rounded out its lead cast. Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Lee Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz join star rapper/comedian Glover in the hip-hop comedy.
Atlanta was written and created by Glover and centers around the story of two cousins. The cousins have very different philosophies about race, art, and success as they navigate Atlanta?s rap scene. Glover, who in real life raps under the name Childish Gambino, plays Earnest Marks, a loner who returns to his hometown of Atlanta to try to make ends meet. He's then drawn into the rap scene when his cousin Alfred Miles, suddenly becomes the city?s hottest thing, skyrocketing into fame.
