VIDEO : Katy Perry Tries to Woo Nuns in a Bid for Their Convent

Celebrity in this news:

The LA Times reports that Perry inked a deal with Los Angeles Archbishop Jose Gomez to purchase a convent in Los Feliz with $14.5 million in cash.
But there's a slight hitch: The Sisters of the Immaculate Heart who used to call the convent home are arguing that only they have the legal right to sell the convent. And they already did ? to restaurateur Dana Hollister, who has already moved in. Hollister hopes to one day turn the property into a hotel.
Perry is trying to win over the hearts of the nuns. The Times reports that the singer came to them "dressed rather conservatively, and according to two of the sisters, she sang 'Oh Happy Day' for them and showed them a 'Jesus' tattoo on her wrist area."
