Janet Jackson continued her comeback Sunday night, making a rare public appearance at the BET Awards to accept an "ultimate icon" award. Although she didn't perform, as many fans had hoped, Jackson took the stage in an all-white outfit to accept the "ultimate icon: music dance visual award" following a dance tribute from Ciara, Jason Derulo and Tinashe.
She said, ?It?s been a very long journey to this moment." And she referenced "Rhythm Nation's" lyrics and message, saying it hasn't yet been realized.
