Janet Jackson accepted the Ultimate Icon honor at the BET Awards after a fiery dance tribute of "Pleasure Principle," "All For You," "If" and "Rhythm Nation." Jackson said in her acceptance speech, in which she also thanked God, BET, her parents and family, "It's been a very long journey to this moment ? my heart so full. Twenty-five years ago we created 'Rhythm Nation' hoping the world would be a better place." Jackson, who is already planning to release her first studio album in seven years this fall, will also embark on a world tour starting Aug. 31.
