Veteran actor Sir John Hurt has said he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
The 75-year-old said he would continue working despite the diagnosis, Hurt was Oscar-nominated for his role in 1980's The Elephant Man,
He told the Press Association, "I am undergoing treatment and am more than optimistic about a satisfactory outcome, as indeed is the medical team."
He added he would "continue to focus on his professional commitments".??
