John Waters has finally reached the pinnacle of mainstream success: giving a commencement address at one of the top art schools in the country.
Waters peppered his speech with moments of genuine, heartfelt advice, leavened with the occasional joke referencing his career spent as a cinematic outsider.
His best moments were reserved for the end of the speech, where he encouraged Rhode Island School of Design grads to make rich friends, to "use technology for transgression," and finally, to "make me nervous!"??
