David Duchovney and Gillian Anderson seem as psyched that X-Files is returning as the series' superfans. Actually, maybe they are the show's biggest superfans. First the pair staged a very public kiss, now David Duchovny has admitted that reading the new script made him very emotional. Duchovny told Entertainment Weekly, "I got the first script this morning. I just read it about an hour ago and I started crying reading the first page. It was just so strange to see the names on the page." The actor, who will be reprising his role as FBI agent Fox Mulder on the new season set to premiere Jan. 24, 2016, was tight-lipped on the actual contents of the script. He did, however, tell Entertainment Weekly he "would be open to doing another cycle."??
