John Mayer just got his clock cleaned in a lawsuit in which he claimed he was defrauded by a watch dealer ... because John has not only dismissed his suit ... he now says his claims were false. TMZ has obtained a joint statement between Mayer and Bob Maron , who sold the singer more than $600,000 worth of Rolex watches back in 2007. Mayer -- a big-time watch collector -- claimed the watches had counterfeit parts and Maron knew it.
