Tuesday night was Jimmy Kimmel's turn to pay tribute to his idol and comedic inspiration, David Letterman. Kimmel shares how he was a Letterman fan even as a kid, showing pictures from his Letterman-themed 16th birthday party and even how Letterman was the inspiration behind the license plate number on his first car.
Kimmel goes on to credit a guest spot he did on The Late Show as the reason that he has his current late-night hosting gig and even lets his band leader pay a quick tribute to Paul Shaffer.??
