Michael Caine was in top form in Cannes at a press conference for his latest film, "Youth," by Paolo Sorrentino. Caine had journalists in fits of laughter with his witty responses. When asked why he hasn't been to Cannes for decades, Caine responded, "I came to Cannes 50 years ago with a movie called 'Alfie.' 'Alfie' won a prize and I didn't, so I never came back. I'm not going all that way for nothing."
On choices for older actors, Cain said, "The only alternative to playing elderly people is playing dead people. So I'm quite smart, I picked elderly people.??
