B.B. King, who died Thursday at his Las Vegas home aged 89, had a remarkable career over the past five decades. B.B. was born Riley B. King in 1925 in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Before long he was singing in gospel choirs and getting to grips with his first guitar, but it was when he moved to West Memphis, Arkansas in his early 20s that his career really kicked off. After a short spell with blues singer Booker White in Memphis, Tennessee, King moved to West Memphis.
