Grey's Anatomy fans aren't the only ones feeling heartbroken about Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd's death and Patrick Dempsey's exit from the show after more than a decade.
The cast misses him too! Kelly McCreary tells E! News, "Derek was a beloved character on Grey's Anatomy. We will miss that character." But while his onscreen death was so incredibly gut-wrenching, his co-stars are happy for the opportunities he now has offscreen. Sarah Drew tells E! News, "We're sad to say goodbye to Patrick but we're so happy for him. If you follow him on Twitter you know that he's enjoying time with his kids and he's racing and he's having a ball.
