After news broke that Britain's Conservative Party had won the majority in the country's Parliament, Brand emotionally announced he is stepping away from politics. In Brand's YouTube show "The Trews," the actor delivered an emotionally charged explanation of his thoughts on the future of Britain with Prime Minister David Cameron at the helm. Ahead of the election, Brand had encouraged UK voters to vote Labour. In the clip, Brand also talks about the resignations of three party leaders earlier in the day and the forthcoming Conservative government. He then admits that he thought his interview with Ed Miliband might have made a difference.??
