Lorde has penned a long Tumblr post noting that she's back in the studio beginning work on the follow-up to her breakthrough debut Pure Heroine. In the post, the "Royals" singer discusses her mindset going into her sophomore LP and how she's found major inspiration from Robyn's 2010 single "Dancing On My Own."
Lorde says ahead of her new, as-yet-untitled album,
"First records are like meeting someone and feeling that need to do everything, just in case for whatever reason, you run out of time, or they stop feeling the same way as you. I feel much calmer, more comfortable in my love of doing this, and its apparent love of me, this time around. So there's that."??
