The New York Times reports that the National Comedy Center is hoping to use hologram technology in founding a virtual comedy club, featuring late but great comics.
Chairman of the Jamestown New York center, Tom Benson, told the newspaper a grand opening is scheduled for next year.
Although no agreements have been made with the estate of any dead comic, Benson mentioned George Carlin, Bob Hope, Milton Berle, and Rodney Dangerfield as top contenders for the debut shows.
Hologram USA will create the likenesses when comics are selected and terms are met.
