Sofia Vergara is firing back at her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb in the wake of his New York Times op-ed, in which he argues that Vergara should allow him to bring their fertilized embryos to term despite their break-up.
Vergara went on Howard Stern's radio show Monday morning, saying, "A child needs a mother. More than a mother, it needs a loving relationship of parents that get along, that don't hate each other ... I wouldn't imagine anyone saying to bring to the world kids that are already set up everything wrong with them (sic). It would be so selfish."
In his op-ed, Loeb wrote, "When we create embryos for the purpose of life, should we not define them as life, rather than as property? A woman is entitled to bring a pregnancy to term even if the man objects. Shouldn't a man who is willing to take on all parental responsibilities be similarly entitled to bring his embryos to term even if the woman objects?"??
