VIDEO : Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix Star In Woody Allen's 'Irrational Man'

Joaquin Phoenix has a very memorable summer in the first trailer for Woody Allen's forthcoming comedy Irrational Man.
In the film, Phoenix plays Abe, a philosophy professor who heads to a new campus, where he finds renewed purpose after getting close with a student--played by Emma Stone.
A pivotal scene in the trailer centers on Abe surprising those around him by picking up a gun and putting it to his head. Allen wrote and directed the film, in which Parker Posey also stars.
Irrational Man premieres at the Cannes Film Festival next month. Sony Pictures Classics releases it in theaters on July 17.??
