Carey Mulligan looks all kinds of beautiful in Far From the Madding Crowd.
Unfortunately, the period wardrobe wasn't always so comfy?or safe!
Mulligan told E! News, "I had a lot of horse riding to do in corsets.That's not easy at all. I also got thrown off my horse [while] wearing a corset and landed badly. I could not sort of fold up because I was wearing this corset so I landed straight on my head. Also, running up and down hills is sort of exhausting." At the end of the day, she added, "when you take it off, you feel this enormous release."??
