VIDEO : 'Fantastic Four's' Michael B. Jordan Spells Out The Invisible Woman Mystery for Jimmy Kimmel

Michael B. Jordan stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night to debut the broadcast premiere of the latest Fantastic Four trailer. But while he was excited to reveal footage from the highly anticipated superhero reboot, in which he plays the Human Torch (aka Johnny Storm), he didn't want to talk too much about how his character can still be related to Kate Mara's Sue Storm (aka The Invisible Woman), as was the case in the comic books, even though they're of different ethnicities. Kimmel said, "Kate Mara, I don't know if you know this, is a white person." Jimmy then asked, "How did they figure that out?" Jordan explained that there are plenty of families where the brothers and sisters aren't biologically related. He said, "I'm pretty sure there's white people out there with other ethnicities brothers and sisters. Doesn't mean biological. It's the world that we live in"
When Kimmel pressed further about whether this is "one of the big secrets" of the film, Jordan said it was mostly that he didn't feel the need to explain something that seems obvious.
He said, "It's kind of self-explanatory. It's one of those things where I don't like drawing attention to the ignorance sometimes. You gotta let it be what it is."
When Kimmel argued that people would be asking this question, Jordan made it clear: "There's a thing called adoption. It happens."??
