Brett Ratner is finally shutting down those Mariah Carey romance rumors.
Speculation spread like wildfire about three weeks ago that the director and Nick Cannon's ex were dating after they were spotted shopping together in St. Barts followed by a joint birthday celebration.
"We're great friends," Ratner told E! last night at the L.A. premiere of the new HBO documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck. "I'm directing her video. I've been friends with her for 20 years." Ratner wasn't too rattled by the false gossip.
"It makes me laugh actually," he said. "It cracks me up. We're great friends. She's awesome and she's amazing."??
