Director Robert Rodriguez has withdrawn his $7.7 million lawsuit against Russian producers over production of the movies Sin City 2 and Machete Kills.
On Tuesday, the Russian business daily Kommersant quoted one of the defendants, Russian producer Sergei Bespalov, as saying that Rodriguez' lawsuit has been withdrawn as Bespalov's company, Aldamisa Entertainment, threatened him with a $50 million lawsuit.
"Our lawsuit was presented to Rodriguez' lawyers, after which he dropped his lawsuit," he said. Rodriguez' representative confirmed that the claim has been withdrawn.??
